The Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community Grant intends to build a community for computer science teachers that will provide professional instruction, practice, and pedagogy support. In building instructional practice, a goal is to promote the use of physical computing to engage students in computer science education by providing funding for up to five teachers per district to join a professional organization for computer science education, to pay for registration costs to attend a local or national Computer Science-focused conference, and to purchase a class set of physical computing devices along with the necessary professional training for implementation and use.
Grant Funds Available: A maximum of $200,000 in grant funds is available, with a maximum of $10,000 per district.
